We turned COVID-19 into a blessing, in the form of a new learning opportunity called EAJL Online.

We were delighted to be able to reach so many students and teachers from across the world and we have realised the need to continue teaching our online courses alongside our in-person retreats and sessions.

We have rich Jewish Traditions and as an ‘Academy without Walls’ we offer learning in a range of traditions with teachers from across the Jewish world.

Our online learning courses offer students an overview of t’filla and nusach in both ashkenazi and sefardi traditions. Previous courses have included Ma’ariv L’chol and Arvit L’chol, Megillat Esther chanting in Ashkenazi and Moroccan traditions, how to count the Omer, Kaddish through the year and how to lead a Shiva Minyan.

The Online team is currently developing a long-term online programme with teachers from different traditions. These courses are designed to give students an overview of a particular service. For an in-depth study of the material and to develop your personal relationship to t’filla, we highly recommend our one-to-one mentoring. Here a dedicated mentor, matched to your learning tradition and communal needs, will help you to deepen your learning and your personal development in leading services.

If you are interested in a course not currently listed please contact the Online team.
